ORDER

The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the offences punishable under sections 194 of BNS @ sections 69, 318(4), 108 of BNS in Crime No.581 of 2025, on the file of the respondent

police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the victim girl, aged about 18 years, was working under the petitioner in a shop. Somehow, the petitioner herein had developed a relationship with the victim and had sexual intercourse with the promise of marrying her. Since he refused to marry her inspite of her request, she committed suicide after writing a suicide note. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioenr is only a Manager and his relationship with the victim is not like lover and victim was also having a love affair with other person. Since the petitioner has raised objections, she committed suicide. Therefore, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would vehemently contend that this is case where the petitioner had, under false promise, had a relationship with the deceased and thereafter refused to marry her, which resulted in the deceased committing suicide. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) would rely upon a suicide note made by the deceased stating she had implicated this petitioner.

5. In view of the above serious allegations against this petitioner and taking into consideration of the gravity of the offences and nature of the incident, this Court is not inclined to enlarge the petitioner on anticipatory bail. Accordingly, this petition is dismissed.
