Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to give permission and adequate police protection for conducting Karakattam and Aadal Paadal Orchestra Programme on 18.06.2015 and 19.06.2015 respectively in connection with Thiruvizha celebration of Arulmigu Sri Patchaiamman Temple situated at Thimmur Village, Kunnam Taluk, Perambalur District based upon the petitioner's representation dated 16.05.2015. By consent, the Writ Petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to be a Member of the Organization Committee. The Organization Committee conducted temple festival of Arulmigu Sri Patchaiamman Temple and he submitted an application/representation dated 16.05.2015 to the 2nd respondent praying for permission to conduct dance and songs programme and since no orders have been passed, the petitioner came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions made by Mr.N.Ananda Kumar, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.S.Pattabiraman, learned Government Advocate who accepts notice for the respondents. 4.

This Court, without going into the merits of the application/representation, directs the 2nd respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's application/representation dated 16.05.2015 in accordance with law and pass orders on or before 12.06.2015 and communicate the decision to the petitioner.
