By consent, the main Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to be the owner of 3.02 acres of land in S.No.64/1B 3-B (2.52 Acres), S.No.64/1A2B (0.50 acres) at No.70, Kathervedu Village, Uthukottai Taluk, Tiruvallur District. According to him, after he purchased the lands, patta was issued to him in respect of 3.02 acres. The petitioner executed a power of attorney in favour of one C.Jayaraman on 10.8.2011, in respect of 64 cents out of the above said 3.02 acres, and the said C.Jayaraman has sold the said 64 cents of lands to others. The remaining 2.38 acres of land continue to remain with the petitioner. However, the petitioner came to know from the patta issued by the Tahsildar, Uthokottai, in respect of S.Nos.64/1A1A1A1, that he was shown as joint owner and joint patta was issued in his name and in the name of one Devendran and pointing out the said discrepancy/mistake, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 27.3.2015, praying for deletion of the above said person's name and thereby, modify the entry in the patta. Since no orders came to be passed, he has filed this Writ Petition.
