The petitioner made a representation for fixation of seniority in service. The representation made by him dated 10.03.2016 was forwarded by the 3rd respondent to the 2nd respondent and the same is pending before the 2nd respondent ever since the respondent has not disposed of the representation. Aggrieved over the same, the petitioner is before this Court.

2. Mr.Fakhir Mohideen takes notice for the respondents.

3. Whenever a representation is made for redressal of service grievances, the competent authority shall pass orders within a reasonable time. In the instant case, the representation was made on 10.03.2016, yet it was not disposed of. The matter is pending before the 2nd respondent for disposal.

4. Without expressing any opinion on merits, a direction is given to the 2nd respondents to dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 10.03.2016 within a period of four weeks from the date receipt of a copy of this order on merits and in accordance with law.

The Writ Petition is disposed of with the above observation and direction. No costs.
