Prayer in W.P.No.9510 of 2022: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the Respondent herein to consider the Petitioners application dated 21.01.2022 sent for granting Domestic Electricity Service connection to the house situate in S.F.No.165, Site No.20, Nallur Village, Tiruppur Taluk within a stipulated period.

For Respondent : Mr.J.Ravindran Additional Advocate General Assisted by Mr.Abul Kalam Standing Counsel COMMON ORDER Mr.Abul Kalam, learned Standing Counsel accepts notice for the respondent and Mr.J.Ravindran, learned Additional Advocate General, who appears on his behalf would point out that the applications filed by the petitioners seeking domestic service connections are not in proper form. He circulates a copy of Board Proceedings in (Per) (CMD) TANGEDCO Proceedings No.362 dated 04.08.2016, as per which applications for service connections are to be made online on the website of TANGEDCO. 2.Thus, the petitioners are permitted to make applications online as per the aforesaid Board Proceedings and such applications, if and when received, shall be processed expeditiously and in any event within a period of two (2) weeks from date of receipt thereof, seeing as the request is for domestic service connections.

3.These writ petitions are disposed in the aforesaid terms. No costs.
