Respondents Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India praying to issue a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider the claim of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a limited time frame with regard to retrospective regularization of his service w.e.f 15.11.2006 the date of his initial appointment as cook, and for fixation of pay in regular time scale of pay and for consequential monetary benefits for the period from 15.11.2006 to 24.02.2011 in the light of his representation dated 15.10.2020 and in the light of order dated 23.11.2016 in W.P.No.41165/2016.

Mr.P.V.Selvakumar, learned Additional Government Pleader takes notice on behalf of respondents. By consent, the Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal.
2. The petitioner was appointed as a Cook in Government Nandanar Adi Dravidar Welfare Boys Hostel, Chidambaram, Cuddalore on 07.11.2006 and his services were regularized on 25.02.2011. Now he seeks regularization from the date his initial appointment. Further, he made a representation on 15.10.2020 and the same is pending without consideration. Aggrieved over the non consideration, the petitioner is before this Court for early disposal of the representation.
3. Heard the submissions made on either side and perused the materials available on record.
4. Considering the limited prayer and without expressing any opinion on merits, a direction is given to second respondent to consider the representation on merits and in accordance with law and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
