For Petitioner : Ms.Hemalatha for Mr.C.Prakasam For Respondents: Mr.R.A.S.Senthilvel Additional Government Pleader COMMON ORDER Petitioners have come forward with the present writ petition for a mandamus directing the respondents to permit the petitioners to get ration items through petitioners' family ration cards bearing Registration Nos.NPHH333372971596 and NPHHS33801023772.
2. The case of the petitioners is that the Government of Tamil Nadu has issued family ration cards to the petitioners and they are utilising the same by receiving ration items. According to the petitioners, in the month of December, 2019, the Inspector of Police, CSCID registered a case for an https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
alleged offence that on 16.12.2019 the said police seized one lorry and 210 bags of rice each weighing 50 Kg. In that regard, a case was registered and the petitioners have been falsely implicated in the said case and their ration cards became inoperative since February 2020. When the petitioners have made an enquiry with the ration shop, they came to understand that the respondents 2 and 3 informed the ration shop not to issue ration items to the petitioners. Immediately, the petitioners have approached the respondents 2 and 3 and requested them to furnish a copy of the written orders passed against them. Hence the petitioners have made a representation on 23.03.2021 to the respondents to pass necessary orders to permit the petitioners to get ration items through their family cards. As there was no response, the present writ petitions have been filed.
3. Having regard to the nature of the dispute, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the first respondent is directed to dispose of petitioners representations dated 23.03.2021 and pass appropriate orders on merits after issuing notice to the petitioners, within a period of three weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
4. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. However, there is no order as to costs.
