ORDER
This Court while disposing of the writ petition in W.P.No.42083 of 2016 by order dated 30.11.2016 has directed the petitioners to give a fresh representation to the respondent within two weeks and on receipt of such representation, the respondent was directed to consider the same in the light http://www.judis.nic.in
R.SUBBIAH, J., ssv of G.O.Ms.No.198 (MAWS Dept) dated 26.10.1998 and also based on the letter sent by the Commissioner of Municipal Administration, Chepauk, and to pass orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of six weeks.
2.The present contempt petition has been filed by the petitioners alleging non-compliance of the said order passed by this Court. 3.Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, the learned Special Government Pleader submitted that the order of this Court has been complied with by the respondent and by considering the representation of the petitioners, the respondent has passed an order 23.01.2018 rejecting the claim of the petitioners.
4.Since the order of this Court has been complied with by the respondent, nothing survives in this contempt petition and accordingly, the same is closed. However, the petitioners are at liberty to challenge the order passed by the respondent in the manner known to law, if they are so advised.
