Respondent Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent to transfer the patta in favour of the petitioner in respect of the property in Dry S.No.356/9B2 out of 23 cents - 595.53 sq.mtrs (6 410 1/4 sq.ft.) within the specific boundaries situate at Kandamanadi Village Villupuram Taluk as per the Sale Deed bearing Document No.3337/2009 on the file of the Joint S.R.O .No. 2 Villupuram petitioner representation dated 25.4.2015. By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioners claim that they have purchased a property admeasuring to an extent of 6410 1⁄4 sq.ft in Dry S.No.356/9B2 by means of a registered sale deed bearing Document No.3337 of 2009, registered on the file of the Joint Sub Registrar No.2, Villupuram and subsequently, they submitted an application/representation dated 25.04.2015, in proper format for transfer of patta in their names and since, no response is forthcoming, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.N.Suresh, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioners and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioners, directs the respondent to consider the representation/application dated 25.04.2015 submitted by the petitioners, on merits and in accordance with law, after putting on notice the persons concerned and pass orders as expeditiously as possible and not later than six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and inform the decision taken, to the petitioners as well as to the persons concerned.
