ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed for a direction directing the respondents to pay encashment of earned leave surrendered by the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner is a retired employee of the respondent Corporation. He had worked as Assistant Engineer in the respondent Corporation and retired from service on 31.08.2014. The petitioner was settled with retirement benefits except encashment of earned leave surrendered by the petitioner. Therefore, the petitioner submitted a representation and also sought for information under the Right to Information Act. The respondent replied that the petitioner is entitled to the tune of Rs.48,822/- towards encashment of earned leave surrendered by the petitioner. Further, the petitioner claimed a sum of Rs.18,500/- towards Retirement Benefits Scheme Recovery amount. So far those amounts were not settled. Hence, this writ petition.

4. In view of the above facts, the respondents are directed to consider the request made by the petitioner seeking encashment of earned leave surrendered by him, and pass order on merits and in accordance with law within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
