O R D E R

Petitioner has come forward with the present writ petition for a mandamus directing the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioner for issuance of Senior Citizenship pension within a time frame.

2. The case of the petitioner is that her husband died on 24.7.1996. They have no issues and that her husband has not left any assets or valuables to her to eke her livelihood and that she depends on her sister for all her needs. Hence she has applied for senior citizen pension and after great difficulty she got the same. It is her further submission that after bifurcation of the Taluk, the pension was not paid to her. In this regard she has sent detailed representations to the authorities and none of the representations was considered by them. Hence this writ petition.

3. Having regard to the nature of the dispute, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, the second respondent is directed to dispose of petitioner's representation dated Nil/2020 and pass appropriate orders on merits after issuing notice to the petitioner, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

4. With the above direction, the writ petition is disposed of. However, there is no order as to costs.

5. Post the matter for compliance on 02.06.2021.
