O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 4th respondent to give police protection to the petitioner. 2.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate [Crl. Side] appearing for the respondents.

3.It is seen that this petitioner has filed a Public Interest Litigation in W.P.No.4797 of 2018 seeking removal of encroachments from Keelmaruvathur lake and the said litigation is pending. While so, it is seen that a petrol bomb was thrown into the shop of the petitioner. Pursuant to which, a case in Melmaruvathur Police Station Crime No.104 of 2018 has been registered on 14.03.2018 under Section 285 of IPC against unknown accused. In such view of the matter, this Court directs the respondent Police to put a patta passbook at the residence of the petitioner and maintain surveillance so that, no harm befalls on the petitioner.

With the above direction, this petition is ordered accordingly.
