The Tahsildar Coimbatore North Taluk Coimbatore .. Respondent Prayer: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, seeking for a writ of mandamus, directing the respondent herein to consider the representation dated 6.4.2014 of the petitioners.

By consent, the writ petition is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioners claiming to be sisters, jointly purchased a plot bearing No.6 & 7 admeasuring to an extent of 1080 sq.ft., situated at S.F.Nos.166 & 167, Sanganoor Village, Coimbatore Taluk & District by means of a registered sale deed dated 13.12.1999 and claim to be in possession and enjoyment of the same. The petitioners subsequently, applied to the respondent for transfer of patta in their names by means of a representation dated 06.04.2015 and though, it was acknowledged, no order is forthcoming and hence, came forward to file this writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.K.Govi Ganesan, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.V.Subbiah, learned Special Government Pleader, who accepts notice for the respondent. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

4. This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of the prayer sought for by the petitioners and without going into the merits of the claim projected by the petitioners, directs the respondent to consider the representation/application dated 06.04.2015 submitted by the petitioner, on merits and in accordance with law, after putting on notice the persons concerned and pass orders as expeditiously as possible and not later than eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and inform the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned.
