Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondents 1 to 4 to register a case against the fifth respondent based on the Petitioner's complaint dated 06.11.2014 and 07.11.2014 and consequently direct the fifth respondent to pay a sum of Rs.1,50,000/- towards compensation for the injuries sustained and mental and physical agony caused due to sudden attack of the fifth respondent on 05.11.2014 at 8.50 P.M. in the fifth respondent Police Station. The relief sought for in the present writ petition is to direct the respondents 1 to 4 to register a case against the 5th respondent based on the Petitioner's complaints dated 06.11.2014 and 07.11.2014 and consequently, direct the 5th respondent to pay a sum of Rs.1,50,000/- towards compensation for the injuries sustained and mental and physical agony caused due to sudden attack of the 5th respondent on 05.11.2014 at 8.50 P.M. in the 5th respondent Police Station.

2. When the matter was listed for hearing on 13.03.2023, none appeared on behalf of the petitioner. Thus, this Court passed an order, directing the Registry to list the matter on 15.03.2023 under the caption "For Dismissal".

3. Even today i.e., on 17.03.2023, when the matter is taken up for hearing, none appeared for the petitioner. Thus, this Court is inclined to pass the following orders.

4. The relief sought for is to register a case against the 5th respondent based on the complaints dated 06.11.2014 and 07.11.2014. On account of efflux of time and since the petitioner has not represented, no further consideration is required.

5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition stands dismissed for nonprosecution. No costs. 17.03.2023 Jeni Index : Yes Speaking order
