The Writ Petition has been filed to declare the selection and appointment of the 4th respondent as Professor at the National Centre for Nano Sciences and Nano Technology in the first respondent University as illegal, null and void and consequently direct the respondents 1 to 3 to select and appoint the petitioner herein as Professor at the National Centre for Nano Sciences and Nano Technology in the first respondent University.

2. When this Writ Petition was taken up for hearing on 18.09.2024, there was no representation on behalf of the petitioner. Hence, the matter was ordered to be listed to-day ie on 26.09.2024 under the caption 'for dismissal'. Today also, when the matter was called, there was no

representation on behalf of the petitioner.

3. In the said circumstances, this Writ Petition is dismissed for 'non prosecution'. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. No costs.
