ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the 2nd respondent to subdivide the property more fully described in the prayer to the writ petition and thereafter, issue separate patta for the sub-divided property in favour of the petitioner based on the petitioner's representation dated 18.02.2026 within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

Mr.D.Ravichander, learned Special Government Pleader, accepts notice on behalf of the respondents.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner's representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with law within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

5. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner's representation dated 18.02.2026.

For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the respondents to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner's representation dated 18.02.2026, seeking sub-division of the property more fully described in the prayer of this writ petition and thereafter, for issuance of patta in the name of the petitioner and other legal heirs of the deceased

Kanthaiyan, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that only if it is found that, after sub-division of the property, the petitioner is eligible for issuance of separate patta, the 2nd respondent shall consider the request of the petitioner for issuance of separate patta on merits and in accordance with law.
