O R D E R

The petitioner, who is the wife of the respondent, has filed the above Civil Revision Petition to direct the 1st Additional Family Court, Chennai to dispose of the interim maintenance application in I.A.No.124 of 2012 in H.M.O.P.No.1026 of 2012, within a stipulated time.

2. The respondent-husband filed the Original Petition in H.M.O.P. No.1026 of 2012 for restitution of conjugal rights. In the said petition, the petitioner-wife filed an application in I.A.No.124 of 2012 under section 24 of the Hindu Marriage Act, claiming interim maintenance.

3. According to the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, though the application was filed in the year 2012, th Family Court has not disposed of the said application till this date. It is also brought to the notice of this court that the respondent has already filed his counter and the matter is posted for enquiry.

4. Having regard to the submission made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and also taking into consideration the limited prayer sought for in the Civil Revision Petition, without expressing any opinion with regard to the merits of the case, I direct the 1st Additional Family Court, Chennai

to dispose of the application in I.A.No.124 of 2012 in H.M.O.P.No.1026 of 2012, on merits and in accordance with law within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. With this observation, the Civil Revision Petition is disposed of. No costs.
