ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed challenging the order passed by the second respondent, thereby disconnected the electricity service connection of the petitioner.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 and perused the materials available on record.

3. While admitting this writ petition, this Court, by an order dated 19.04.2021, issued the following directions : "4. In view of the above submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner, more particularly,

the service connection of the petitioner's property was disconnected on 08.04.2021 and the petitioner is running his business without any power supply, this Court directs the respondents to restore the service connection in respect of the petitioner's property subject to the following conditions :

(a) The petitioner shall pay a sum of Rs.30,000/- (Rupees Thirty Thousand only) to the respondents ; and on such payment being made, the respondents shall restore the service connection to the petitioner's property immediately ;

(b) Thereafter, the petitioner shall also deposit the balance amount in two equated monthly instalments. The first instalment shall be made on or before 05.05.2021 and the second instalment shall be made on or before 05.06.2021, failing which, the respondent authorities are entitled to disconnect the service connection with immediate effect."

4. Now, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the condition imposed by this Court has been complied with.

5. Recording the said submission, this Writ Petition is closed. It is made clear that if any amount is due from the petitioner, the respondents are at liberty to proceed as against the petitioner in accordance with law. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed. No costs.
