Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for the issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the respondent authorities to grant permission to conduct the Sri Mariamman Festival on 12.06.2015 at Elangalapatti, Palacode Taluk, Dharmapuri District, in a grand manner.

By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2. The petitioner claims to be the organizer of temple festival of Sri Mariamman temple, situated at Elangalapatti, Palacode Taluk, Dharmapuri District. In connection with the temple festival, the committee is seeking to conduct a cultural programme, which includes dance and other cultural programmes and in this regard, submitted a representation, dated 02.06.2015, to the second respondent praying for permission to conduct the said festival on 12.06.2015 and since no order came to be passed, he has filed this https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

writ petition.

3. Heard the submissions of Mr.R.Ramesh Raja, the learned counsel for the petitioner and Ms.P.Rajalakshmi, the learned Government Advocate, who accepts notice on behalf of the respondents. 4.This Court, without going into the merits of the petitioner's representation/application, directs the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation, dated 02.06.2015, in accordance with law on or before 10.06.2015 and inform the decision taken to the petitioner.
