ORDER
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side), appearing for the respondents.
2. This Writ Petition has been filed praying for a direction to first respondent to take action on the complaint of the petitioner, dated 08.02.2023, by holding a preliminary enquiry into the allegation made therein in accordance with law.
3. The case of the petitioner is that the land belonging to her has been changed as Government land with the connivance of the officials and, therefore, she submitted a complaint, dated 08.02.2023, to first respondent for taking action.
4. Learned Government Advocate has filed a counter affidavit, which has been sworn to by Deputy Superintendent of Police, Head Quarters, Directorate of Vigilance & Anti-Corruption, Chennai, wherein it is stated that the complaint of the petitioner has been scrutinised in the Directorate and that the said complaint states about some irregularities committed by public servants, which require verification of
3/5 documents by competent authority. It is also stated therein that the said complaint has been forwarded to the District Collector, Cuddalore, for taking action and the same is pending with the District Collector.
5. In view of the above factual position, the District Collector, Cuddalore, is directed to look into the complaint of the petitioner, dated 08.02.2023, and pass appropriate orders on merit and in accordance with law, preferably within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt or production of certified copy of this order.
