However, none appears for the petitioner even today, despite the matter being listed under the caption 'for dismissal'. On 17.02.2022, there was a direction for the name of Mr.S.N.Kirubanandam as counsel for the petitioner, to be removed.

2.Registry was directed to verify and print the name of counsel for the petitioner. Instead, the name of the petitioner has itself being printed, though there has been no appearance by or on behalf of the petitioner either on the last occasion or today. 3.This writ petition is thus dismissed for non-prosecution. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.

4. This Court reiterates the liberty granted on 28.03.2016 in W.P.No.18378 of 2015 to the petitioner to submit a fresh application which shall be considered in accordance with law.

5. In W.P.No.23388 of 2016, Mr.K.Mayilsamy, learned counsel on record for the petitioner makes an endorsement to the effect that the petitioner does not wish to pursue this writ petition.

6. In light of the endorsement made, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn and the impugned order stands confirmed. No costs. Connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
