ORDER

Today, the learned counsel for the respondent, producing a calculation memo, stated that after the order dated 21.2.2017 was passed by this Court in W.P.No.1927 of 2011, the petitioner has remitted a sum of Rs.8,32,350/- on 12.5.2017. Since the balance amount was not paid, interest was calculated from 12.5.2017 to 31.10.2019 amounting to Rs.69,185/-. When the total amount due from the petitioner including interest is Rs.11,76,370/-, the petitioner has so far remitted a sum of Rs.9,14,322/-, leaving the balance of Rs.2,62,048/-. If this amount is paid by the petitioner 1/3

for the Shop No.F-17 in Periyar Vegetable Market, Koyambedu on or before 31.10.2019, the respondent will execute the sale deed and also hand over physical possession of the shop in question to the petitioner.

2. It is at this stage the learned counsel for the petitioner, agreeing to pay the balance amount of Rs.2,62,048/-, sought for eight weeks time.

3. This Court hereby directs the petitioner to pay the balance amount of Rs.2,62,048/- within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. The respondent is further directed to hand over physical possession of the shop in question to the petitioner within a week from the date of receipt of the entire amount and shall also execute the sale deed within a period of four weeks thereafter. With this direction, the contempt petition stands closed.
