The Director General of Police, Law and Order, Mylapore, Chennai-04. ...Respondents in all WP's Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents 1 & 2 to fix the seniority on par with the 1st batch based on the marks secured by the petitioner in the police training college as per Rule by considering the representation of the petitioner dated 12.12.2017, 6.3.18, 21.3.18, 21.3.2018,10.4.2018, 28.4.2018 and 15.5.2018 respectively within a reasonable time.

Since in all these seven Writ Petitions, similar issue being involved, on consent of the learned counsel appearing for the parties, they are taken up together for disposal at the stage of admission. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

At the very outset, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submit that in respect of very same relief, similarly situated person approached this Court by way of filing W.P.No.14886 of 2018, and this Court, vide order dated 21.06.2018, disposed of the said Writ Petition issuing certain directions. He, therefore, prays that similar direction may be issued in the present Writ Petitions as well.

3. The learned Government Advocate appearing on behalf of the respondents has no objection in following the earlier order passed by this Court in W.P.No.14886 of 2018, dated 21.06.2018 (referred supra).

4. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the parties and in view of the earlier order passed by this Court in W.P.No.14886 of 2018, dated 21.06.2018, (referred supra), in respect of very same issue, this Court is inclined to dispose of the present Writ Petitions also on the same lines. Accordingly, all these seven Writ Petitions stand disposed of with a direction to the respondents 1 and 2 to consider and dispose of the representation of the petitioners made individually, if the same are pending, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if there is no other legal impediment for such disposal and communicate the decision taken to the petitioners. However, it is made clear that this Court has expressed no opinion on the merits of such representations of the petitioners in any manner. No costs.
