ORDER
The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 and 2 to promote the petitioner as Lecturer on par with junior with all consequential service and monetary benefits as per the service rules issued in G.O.(Ms).No.78, Tourism, Culture and Religious Endowments(C1-1) Department, dated 13.04.2018.
2. At the outset, learned counsel for respondents would submit that they would consider the petitioner's representations dated 21.08.2016 and 08.03.2017 and would further submit that petitioner may submit a fresh representation seeking promotion as Lecturer on par with juniors and the same would be considered by the appropriate authority in accordance with law, within a time period to be fixed by this Court. Agreed to by petitioner.
3. In view thereof, the writ petition is disposed of. The petitioner shall submit a fresh representation to the respondents within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If any such representation is submitted, the same shall be considered by the appropriate authority and orders shall be passed in accordance with the Service Rules after affording the petitioner, 3rd respondent and other interested parties a reasonable opportunity of
hearing within a period of four weeks thereafter. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned authority to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
