C O M M O N O R D E R The petitioners have filed these writ petitions seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to take necessary action based on the letter given by the fourth respondent in Letter No.A10/641/2010 dated 24.09.2022 and to include the petitioners name in the Selection List as per their eligibility based on the petitioners representation dated 09.12.2022.

2.The case of the petitioners is that the petitioners are eligible beneficiaries to get allotment of a house in Periyar Memorial Samathuvapuram situated in Kozhuvari Village, however, their names were not considered. In this regard, they made representation to the respondents, however, the same has not yet been considered. Hence, these writ petitions.

3.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioners submitted that the samathuvapuram houses were allotted to ineligible beneficiaries and in this regard, the fourth respondent conducted enquiry and sent report to the first respondent to cancel the allotment given to ineligible persons, however, the same was not implemented. Hence, without going into the merits of the case, it would suffice, if 3/6

this Court issues direction to the first respondent to pass appropriate orders, based on the letter given by the fourth respondent in Letter No.A10/641/2010 dated 24.09.2022, within a reasonable time frame. 4.Considering the limited request made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners, this Court, without expressing any opinion on the merits of the case, directs the first respondent to pass appropriate orders, based on the letter given by the fourth respondent in Letter No.A10/641/2010 dated 24.09.2022 and in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
