Respondents PRAYER:

Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 3 to immediately register First Information Report in the case of the murder of Gopal at the hands of Respondents 4 to 7 in Melpatti Police Station under provisions

of Sections 302, 201 and other provisions of IPC, protection of Human Rights Act, 1993 and other provisions of law and consequently to direct investigation be transferred to the CBCID under the supervision of a senior police officer no below the rank of IG of Police, award a compensation of Rs.25 lakhs. ORDER

The prayer in this writ petition is seeking for transfer of the investigation to CBCID.

Learned Special Government Pleader today filed a counter affidavit stating that as per proceedings of the Director General of Police, Tamilnadu, the case in Crime No.176 of 2013 had already been transferred to the CBCID on 24.01.2017 and has been taken up for investigation.

3. In view of the subsequent development and recording the statement made in the counter affidavit no further orders are required in the writ petition and the same stands closed.
