Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, to issue a Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to issue Patta for petitioner's property situated at R.S.No.3877/19 measuring to an extent of 472 1⁄2 sq.ft. in the total extent of 1893 sq.ft. at Door No.6/1, 2nd Street, Ganesapuram, Teynampet, Chennai - 600 018 based on petitioner's representation dated 23.06.2017.

The petitioner seeks for a Mandamus to direct the respondents to issue Patta for petitioner's property situated at R.S.No.3877/19 measuring to an extent of 472 1⁄2 sq.ft. in the total extent of 1893 sq.ft. at Door No.6/1, 2nd Street, Ganesapuram, Teynampet, Chennai - 600018, based on petitioner's representation dated 23.06.2017.

3. The grievance of the petitioner is that the representation of the petitioner dated 23.06.2017 has not been considered so far.

This Court, at this stage, is not expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner as it is for the 2nd respondent to consider and decide the same on merits and in accordance with law. However, considering the fact that the petitioner has already made a representation dated 23.06.2017 which is yet to be disposed of, this Court is inclined to issue a direction to the 2nd respondent to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 23.06.2017 and pass orders on the same on merits and in accordance with law, after hearing the rival claimants, if any. Such exercise shall be done by the 2nd respondent within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Accordingly, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
