This application is for recovery, filed under Section 443 of the Company Act.

2. The Court notice sent to the respondent has been returned with endorsement door locked. Private notice has been served on 29.04.2021. The service is deemed complete.

3. The learned Official Liquidator has sought for a direction for payment of Rs.17,207/- along with interest at 18% per annum from 29.01.2016 till date of entire settlement of the amounts due.

4. The learned Official Liquidator would base claim on the fact that the statement of affairs filed by the Ex-Director of the Company discloses that the respondent owes a sum of Rs.17,207/- to the Company in liquidation.

5. Despite service, the respondent has not chosen to appear either in person or through counsel duly instructed.

6. Accepting the report of the learned Official Liquidator, this application is allowed. There will be a direction to the respondent to pay a sum of Rs.17,207/- with interest at 18% per annum from 29.01.2016 till date of payment. No costs.
