O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus to direct the second respondent issue fresh electricity service connection of no.198, Venkatachala Mudali street, Royapettah,Chennai-600014.

2.The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner is the owner of the property at Door No.198, Venkatachala Mudali Street, Royapettah, Chennai. The said property was owned by his mother and she was in absolute possession and thereafter, the mother executed a Will in favour of the petitioner on 24.11.2019 vide registered Doc.No.151/1999 and on death of his mother on 08.12.2015, the petitioner inherited the property and in order https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

to obtain electricity connection, made representation to the 2nd respondent to issue fresh electricity service connection. However till date, his representation has not been considered. Hence the petitioner is before this Court by way of this petition.

3.The present case is repeatedly adjourned for appearance of the petitioner. However no one has appeared on behalf of the petitioner. This Court considering the pendency of this petition, dispose of the matter based on the available records. 4.Considering the facts and circumstances of the case, a liberty is granted to the petitioner to produce the documents for establishing her title before the 2nd respondent along with copy of the application, within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, and if any such application and document is produced, the 2nd respondent is directed to consider the same and pass appropriate orders within a period of four week thereafter.

5. In view of the above, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
