This Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 Cr.P.C praying to direct the respondent police to expedite the investigation in Cr.No.205 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police and file the final report within a stipulated time period as may be fixed by this Hon'ble Court.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the respondent police to expedite the investigation in Cr.No.205 of 2016 on the file of the respondent police and file the final report.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner would

submit that though the 1st respondent has registered a case in the Crime No. 205 of 2016 on 04.05.2016, no final report is filed till date.

3. Mr.A.Gokulakrishnan, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit the respondent police will expedite the filing of final report.

4.Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondent.

5. In such view of the matter, the respondent police is directed to expedite the investigation and file a necessary final report as expeditiously as possible.

6.With the above direction, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
