ORDER

This writ petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondent to pay the death benefit and pension of the petitioner's daughter Sangeetha to the petitioner based on the petitioner's representation dated 21.01.2023.

2. Now, the learned Special Government Pleader has brought to the notice of this Court in G.O.(D).No.882, Home (Pol.XV) Department dated 27.07.2023, the Government has sanctioned the Death cum Retirement Gratuity to Tmt.C.Suguna/petitioner/mother of C.Sangeetha, Woman Head Constable, as nominated by the deceased. Further , the petitioner is permitted to receive the retirement and pensionary benefits of late Tmt.C.Sangeetha as directed by the Court and also requested the Commissioner of Police, Chennai to redeposit the pensionary benefits (except the family pension and DCRG) in any one of the nationalised bank till the minor V.Jithendar becomes major. Now, it appears that the Commissioner of Police, Chennai has also sent proposal to the Accountant General (A&E), Tamil Nadu, Chennai in proceedings dated 07.08.2023.

3. Such view of the matter, this Court is of the view that no further order is required.

4. With the above directions, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
