ORDER

This writ petition is filed with a prayer to pass appropriate orders on the appeal dated 24.12.2024 made by the petitioners herein.

2. Upon hearing the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Additional Advocate General appearing on behalf of the first and second respondents and perusing the affidavit filed in support of the writ petition and the material records of the case, the grievance of the petitioner is that when the legal heirship certificate was applied in respect of the death of the petitioner's father, who died on 08.08.2024, the same was rejected. Upon rejection thereof, the appeal was filed. The rejection was made on the ground that the deceased had three wives.

3. When there is a dispute between the parties regarding the number of marriages, it is difficult for the respondent authorities to decide the legal heirship. Anyhow, the appeal is now pending before the first respondent. Let the appeal be decided on its own merits, in accordance with law, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of the web copy of the order, 2/4
