Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the second respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 1.7.2014, and reimburse the medical expenses incurred by the petitioner under Sri Mookambika Institute of Medical Science, Velayutham Pillai Memorial Hospital of Rs.1,45,000/- with interest. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner claims that he is a member of the Chief Minister's Comprehensive Medical Insurance Scheme floated by the Government of Tamil Nadu, and his card number is 0133362032828190000238. The petitioner would state that he is running a small tea stall and eking out his livelihood and on 23.1.2014, suffered a stomach pain and his wife took him to a nearby hospital viz. take a scan and after verifying the scan report, the Doctors opined that the petitioner is suffering from "burning micturition, pain during micturition, increased frequency of micturition at night, dribbling of urine" and was advised to undergo an emergent surgery and accordingly, he underwent the same and incurred a medical expense of Rs.1,45,000/-, which he has paid with great difficulty considering his poor economic status. The petitioner, in this regard, submitted a representation in person as well as by RPAD to the second respondent praying for reimbursement of the said medical expenses, and since he has not been favoured with any kind of response, came forward to file this writ petition.

3.Heard the submissions of the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Ms.P.Rajalakshmi, learned Government Advocate, who accepted notice for the respondents. 4.This Court, taking into consideration the limited scope of prayer sought for by the petitioner, and without entering upon the merits of the representation, directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 1.7.2014, in accordance with law, as expeditiously as possible and not later than two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
