Respondents Contempt petition is filed under Section 11 of the Contempt of Courts Act, 70/71 to punish the respondents for disobeying the order of this Court dated 26.11.2015 in W.P.No.37706 of 2015 on the file of this Court. O R D E R

By the order dated 26.11.2015, this Court has directed the first respondent to take appropriate action based upon the letter sent by the second respondent. Alleging that the said order has not been complied with in letter and spirit, the present contempt petition has been filed. 2.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the order has not been complied with in full and there is still stagnation of water . 3.

The learned Government Advocate filed a counter affidavit and submitted that there is another order passed by the I Bench of this Court in W.P.No.37069 of 2015 at the instance of the farmers. Thus, taking into consideration of the both the orders, appropriate action has been taken. Therefore, the learned Government Advocate submitted that the order passed by this Court has been complied with by taking steps towards reducing the inundation.

In view of the submissions made, this Court is not inclined to proceed any further. If the petitioner is of the view that problem has not been fully addressed to

his satisfaction, his remedy lies elsewhere. Thus, the contempt petition stands closed giving liberty to the petitioner to give a comprehensive representation, if he is so advised.
