(Order of Court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.) The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents not to open the TASMAC liquor shop nearby Muniappa Koil Street, Keelapaluvur https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
village, Ariyalur Taluk & District in violation of the order of Hon'ble Supreme Court of India passed in Civil Appeal Nos.12164 to 12166 of 2016 dated 15.12.2016.
2.Upon instructions, learned Additional Advocate General produced a copy of the communication of the Deputy Collector/District Manager, TASMAC Ltd., Perambalur, addressed to the standing counsel for the TASMAC stating that the proposed TASMAC shop in the above referred place has been dropped pursuant to the decision of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, referred supra and as per Rule 8 of the Tamil Nadu Liquor Retail Vending (Inshops and Bars) Rules, 2003.
