Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of mandamus directing the first respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 11.2.2015, and directing the second respondent to rectify the mistake and correct the same in respect of properties bearing T.S.Nos.214, 215 and 216 belonging to the petitioner's temple. By consent, the writ petition itself is taken up for final disposal.

2.The petitioner-mutt claims that the properties in T.S.Nos.206, 213, 214, 215 and 216 situated in Coimbatore Town, belong to them through a registered settlement deed dated 16.8.1924, bearing Document No.3296 of 1924, and they are in possession and enjoyment of the same for more than ninety years. The petitioner would further state that it recently found that in the revenue records relating to the lands belonging to them in T.S.Nos.214 to 216, the names of some other temples were included in stead of the petitioner-mutt and in this regard, submitted a detailed representation dated 11.2.2015, to the respondents to rectify the said mistake and since no response is forthcoming, came forward to file this writ petition.

3.Heard the submissions of the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, and Mr.M.Digvijaya Pandian, learned Additional Government Pleader, who accepted notice for the respondents. 4.This Court, without going into the merits of the representation, directs the second respondent to consider and dispose of the petitioner's representation dated 11.2.2015, in accordance with law, after putting on notice, the concerned persons, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and communicate the decision taken, to the petitioner as well as to the persons concerned. The writ petition is disposed of accordingly. No costs.
