PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 16.2.2026 in so far as in the said representation the petitioner had sought to waive off the required two years time period as stipulated under Regulation 7(3) of CBLR, 2018 for the operation of petitioners CB License No.AARCM9887H given in the name of M/s.MAXFRT shipping Services pvt Ltd,(PAN No.AARCM9887H)at the branch office at chennai For Petitioner(s):

ORDER
The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents herein to consider the representation of the petitioner dated 16.2.2026 wherein petitioner sought to waive off the required two years time period as stipulated under Regulation 7(3) of CBLR, 2018 for the operation of petitioner's Customs Broker License.
2. At the outset it is submitted by the learned counsel for petitioner that under similar circumstances the Delhi High Court in the case of Pankaj Mehndiratta vs. Union of India reported in 2023 (386) E.L.T. 519 (Del.) allowed the petition directing the respondents to issue Customs Broker License to the petitioner therein.
3. At this juncture, it is submitted by the learned counsel for respondents that they would consider the representation of the petitioner and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a time stipulated by this Court. Agreed to by the learned counsel for petitioner.
4. In view thereof, the writ petition stands disposed of with a direction to the respondents to consider petitioner's representation dated 16.02.2026 on its own merits and pass appropriate orders in accordance with law, after affording reasonable opportunity of hearing to petitioner and any other interested persons, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the representation and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the representation on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
