ORDER
(Order of the Court was made by R.HEMALATHA,J.) The petitioner-R.Vijayabalan has filed the present Petition for issuance of Writ of Habeas Corpus directing the first respondent to produce the body of his daughter Vijayalakshmi, aged 22 years, before this Court and set her at liberty.
2.Notice was issued to the respondents 1 and 2 and in response to the notice, the detenue, viz., Vijayalakshmi was produced before this Court today. We interacted with her and she contended that she was born on 21.02.1995 and that she was given in marriage to one C.Bharathiraja on 14.09.2016 by her https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
parents, against her wishes. Her specific contention is that her parents as well as her husband are ill-treating her by beating her, which forced her to leave the parental home. Her further contention is that she is presently staying in Bethal Working Women's Hostel at Mylapore and is also searching for a job. According to her, she is a graduate in Computer Science. 3.The detenue/Vijayalakshmi is a major and this Court is convinced that she would be able to decide her own life and does not require any guidance or instructions. In the facts and circumstances of the case, the present Habeas Corpus Petition is disposed of as nothing survives for further adjudication.
