O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents not to harass the Petitioner and not to disturb his peaceful possession.

2. Heard the learned Counsel appearing for the petitioner, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents and Mr.D.Ferdinand, learned counsel appearing for the defacto complainant.

3. Mr.D.Ferdinand, learned counsel appearing for the defacto complainant submitted that if any cognizable offence is made out against the petitioner, respondents shall be directed to register First Information Report.

4. Taking into consideration the nature of the dispute involved in this case is a landlord and tenant dispute, it is for the parties to adjudicate the same before the appropriate Civil Court and the respondents will have no role to play in a case of this nature.

5. This Writ Petition is disposed of with a direction to the respondents not to interfere with the landlord and tenant dispute and it is open for the parties to agitate their rights before the competent civil court. However, if any cognizable offence is made out against the petitioner, respondents shall register First Information Report and proceed in accordance with law. No costs.
