O R D E R

Alleging that the order of this Court dated 15.03.2013 made in W.P.No.6293 of 2013 has not been complied with, the present contempt petition has been filed.

2.It is very unfortunate that as recorded on earlier occasions, there is still no compliance, though the order was passed as early as 15.03.2013. From the records, it is seen that the proceedings inter se has been concluded with the disposal of the Special Leave Petition by the Apex Court in SLP No.34904 of 2015, dated 27.11.2015.

3.The learned Special Government Pleader, on instructions, submits that the Principal Secretary/ Commissioner, Urban Land Ceiling and Urban Land Tax, Chepauk, Chennai - 600 005 in and by the proceedings in R.C.No.8315/2015 (J3), dated 04.01.2016, has made the recommendation to the Government Viz., The Secretary to Government, Revenue Department, Fort St.George, Chennai - 600009.

4.In view of the same, this Court does not find any wilful disobedience, more so, when the Principal Secretary/ Commissioner, Urban Land Ceiling and Urban Land Tax, Chepauk, Chennai - 600 005 has sent his recommendation and the final authority is the Government. However, since the matter is pending with the Government, the Secretary to Government, Revenue Department, Fort St. George, Chennai is hereby directed to pass appropriate orders on the recommendation sent in R.C.No.8315/2015 (J3), dated 04.01.2016, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
