ORDER
The writ petition has been filed seeking a mandamus to the respondents to consider his representation dated 05.02.2026 relating to reimbursement of medical expenses of Rs.1,07,640/- incurred for the treatment of Mrs.M.Sasikala, the petitioner's wife, at Ganga Medical Centre and Hospitals Private Limited, from 02.01.2026 to 07.01.2026, along with interest at the rate of 12% per annum.
2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.R.U.Dinesh Raj Kumar, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for respondents 1 to 3.
3. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 3 would submit that the petitioner's remedy is before the District Level Empowered Committe headed by the District Collector. The petitioner, however without approaching the appropriate forum, has rushed to this Court. Therefore, the writ petition is not maintainable and the same is liable to be dismissed.
4. Recording the above, the writ petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to approach the District Level Empowered Committee. The petitioner shall make an application to the Committee within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and four weeks therefrom, the Committee shall pass necessary orders.
