This petition has been filed to direct the second respondent to register the case on the basis of the criminal complaint dated 14.5.2015.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State. 3.

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that on the complaint dated 14.5.2015, a case in Crime No.10 of 2015 under sections 294(b), 498A and 506(i) IPC has been registered. 4.

The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that the complaint discloses commission of crime under the Dowry Prohibition Act.

In view of the said submission, the second respondent police is directed to send the complaint to the Social Welfare Officer and after getting the report, if it is found that there is demand of dowry, the case may be altered accordingly. 6.

The criminal original petition is closed with the above direction.
