The present contempt petition is filed alleging contempt as against directions issued by this Court under order dated 31.10.2023. 2.It is the case of the petitioner that despite the directions issued, there has been no move by the respondents to pass orders on the petitioner's application dated 23.10.2023 seeking provisional affiliation to the B.Ed. course for academic year 2023-24.

3.Ms.A.V.Bharathi, learned counsel appears for the respondents and would object to the allegation of contempt pointing out that in compliance with the passing of order dated 31.10.2023, the application of the petitioner had been taken up for processing and a communication issued by the respondent on 20.12.2023 pointing out various defects in the application calling for rectification.

4.Though learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the defects have been rectified, on a perusal of compilation dated 10.07.2024 it would appear that some defects remain unrectified as, by by letter dated 07.02.2024, the respondent has brought the same to the notice of the petitioner. 5.In such circumstances, this Court is of the unambiguous view that the question of contempt will not arise as there has been no willful disobedience on the part of the respondents to comply with the directions. The ball now lies in the court of the petitioner to do the needful to render itself eligible for the relief that is sought from the respondent.
