ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the learned Principal Assistant Sessions Judge, Coimbatore to dispose of the case in S.C.No.35 of 2017. 2.Heard learned counsel for the petitioner as well as the learned Additional Public Prosecutor for the respondent. 3.The grievance of the petitioner is that the proceedings in S.C.No.35 of 2017 is being unnecessarily delayed, though the petitioner has been regularly appearing before the Trial Court. Learned counsel for the petitioner further submitted that the trial has already commenced.

4. Taking into account the stage of the case and also the fact that the petitioner is regularly appearing before the Trial Court and since it is alleged that there is no progress, there shall be a direction to the learned Principal Assistant Sessions Judge, Coimbatore to dispose of the case in S.C.No.35 of 2017, within a period of six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this Order.

5. With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition stands allowed.
