O R D E R

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking transfer of the trial in S.C.No.145 of 2019 from the file of the Additional District Judge, Mayiladuthurai to any other District Court.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing on either side and perused the materials available on record.

3. The petitioner is an accused in S.C.No.145 of 2019 for the offences under Sections 147, 148, 294(b), 323, 324, 307 of IPC r/w.3(1) f TNPPDL Act. That apart, the prosecution had already examined P.Ws 1 to 4. As the trial has commenced, at this stage, the petitioner has now filed this petition seeking transfer of the trial, which appears to be an attempt to delay the proceedings.

4. A perusal of the entire petition reveals that the petitioner did not even make out any grounds for transfer the trial in S.C.No.145 of 2019 from the Trial Court to another Court.

5. In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to transfer the trial in S.C.No.145 of 2019 from the file of the Additional District Judge, Mayiladuthurai to any other District Court. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed. However, the Trial Court is directed to complete the trial within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order, if not already disposed of. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petitions are closed.
