ORDER

This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the respondents to pay arrears of salary from 26.03.2002 to 26.10.2005 Rs.2,17,056/- and 27.10.2005 to 31.03.2008 for Rs.68,488/- Rs.2,85,544/- with interest @ 12% per annum of Rs.2,42,770/- totally Rs.5,28,214/- to the petitioner. 2.

Today when the petition is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel appearing for the second respondent submitted that while pending the Writ Petition, the second respondent paid a sum of Rs.2,85,544/- as arrears of salary amount. However, no interest was paid to the petitioner, since the second respondent society is already running short by Rs.25,05,219.62. Therefore, the second respondent could not able to pay any interest to the petitioner.

In view of the above submission, the Writ Petition stands closed. There shall be no order as to cost.
