O R D E R

The present Contempt Petition has been filed by petitioner alleging noncompliance of the order of this Court passed in W.P.No.40493 of 2016 dated 18.11.2016, whereunder this Court directed the respondents to disburse the retiral benefits to the petitioner in twelve equal monthly instalments.

2. Heard learned counsel for petitioner and learned counsel appearing for respondents.

3. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, it is represented by learned counsel for respondents that the order, which is in contempt, has been complied with by settling the retiral benefits to the petitioner.

4. On the other hand, learned counsel for petitioner submits that only a partial amount has been settled and still, there are arrears yet to be settled. This Court is of the view that since the order, which is in contempt, has been complied with, there is no necessity to keep this Contempt Petition pending. 2/3

Accordingly, the Contempt Petition is closed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to work out his remedy in the manner known to law.
