ORDER

Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader, takes notice for the respondent. By consent, the main writ petition itself is taken up for disposal at the admission stage itself.

The petitioner has filed the above writ petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the respondent to forthwith consider and pass orders on his application dated 11.04.2017, transferring the patta, from the name of the Vendors, viz., M/s. G.R. Narasimhan and R.Narayanan, in the name of the petitioner viz., V.T. Gopalan.

3. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has given an application dated 11.04.2017 for effecting transfer of name in the patta, the respondent has not passed any order so far.

4. Mr.R.Rajeswaran, learned Special Government Pleader, appearing for the respondent submitted that the respondent may be directed to pass orders on the application of the petitioner dated 11.04.2017 effecting transfer of patta in the name of the petitioner within four weeks' time.

5. In view of the submissions made by the learned counsel on either side, I direct the respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 11.04.2017 and effect transfer of patta in the name of the petitioner from the name of his vendors , viz., M/s. G.R. Narasimhan and R.Narayanan, in accordance with law, within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With this observation, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
