ORDER
The petitioner has lodged a complaint before the respondent police against some of the accused persons and the same was registered in crime no.3 of 2025 for the alleged offences under sections 127(2), 351(2), 351(3), 308(2), 308(3), 310(2) and 70(1) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023 and section 4 of the Tamil Nadu Prohibition of Harassment of Women At, 2002. It is the contention of the learned counsel for the petitioner that though the FIR has been registered as early as on 06.02.2025 against eight accused persons, no proper action has been initiated by the police and therefore, the present petition has been filed.
2.The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has submitted that after registration of the FIR, the investigation has been conducted and now the case has been closed as mistake of fact and the closure report has been filed through efiling before the concerned court and since there was discrepancy in the report, the same has been resubmitted on 17.04.2026 [LTN 20230001146C202500039] before the concerned Mahila Court, Vellore.
3.The statement made by the learned Additional Public Prosecutor is recorded. This criminal original petition is closed. The petitioner is at liberty to 2/4
file a protest petition before the jurisdictional court concerned and the concerned court shall pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
