Thottam, Thiruvalluvar Nagar, Muthialpet, Puducherry-605 003 Respondents PRAYER : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India seeking issuance of a writ of quo warranto calling upon the 3rd respondent to show on what authority of law he is holding the office of President of the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Puducherry and further declare the appointment order issued by the 2nd respondent vide impugned G.O.Ms.No.1/45 dated 10.06.2024 as illegal being ultra vires the provisions of The Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and the Rules framed thereunder and consequently direct the 3rd respondent to forthwith CEASE, DESIST and VACATE the office of President of the State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, Puducherry.

ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) Learned counsel for the petitioner seeks leave of the Court to withdraw the present writ petition with liberty to file a regular quowarranto petition.

2. The writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn with the aforesaid liberty. There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, interim applications are closed.
